DIY removal of the chrome piece around the grill

    3" lift kit, complete sound system, more to come..... just got this truck
    I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the chrome piece around the grill. I am wanting to remove it and paint it. It is on a 2005 tacoma

    Stock for now
    On the backside are like 30 clips all attached to the surround.
    Some snap out using a little screwdriver, others not so easy.
    I cut those with a dremel.
    Once your surround is painted, it snaps back in.
    Hit the plastic clips with a soldering iron or some type of plastic glue.
