Hello all, I have checked out this place from time to time when I had questions and could find the answers to them here, but I have a question I can't seem to find the answer.

So I have a 2002 Tacoma 4 Door 4WD and I bought Pro Comp wheels for it last year and I did so much research on it and I thought I bought the right ones but I ended up having clearance issues. The front wheels ended up hitting the brakes so I had to buy spacers so they would clear the brakes. Now the tires rub on the inside of the wheel well and make such awesome noises. I am going to get new wheels and tires and need help figuring out what I need.

My current wheels have a 4.25 backspace and I had to get 1.25" spacers so they would clear. What backspace do I need this time so my wheels don't stick out and rub.

I'm currently running 16x8 wheels with 265 70R16 Big O Big Foot A/T. I am going to do a ToyTec lift and slightly bigger tires so I am coming to you guys for help.

    Thank you.

Those wheels were wrong for your truck. One mistake (by the shop, not you).
Adding a spacer to correct it, is another mistake. 2 wrongs don't make a right, just more wrong.

Get the proper wheels for your truck, and hope the wheel shop will remedy their error.

That's what I am aiming to do. What is the factory wheel offset and backspacing?

Not certain about the factory back-spacing. I've references to 4.5" and 4.625". Backspacing might not be the only issue, though. It could also be the design of the center portion of the wheel. When I upgraded my wheels, I got factory ones, so there was no doubt about fitment.
