Shifter area feels WARM.

Hello all,

I have 2012 trd sport auto and the shifter area feels WARM when touching it. It feels like that after about 30 minutes of driving or so. Truck has about 50k miles now.

Do you experience that as well? Thanks.

 

That's normal, there's stuff under there. Depending on what model you have there are lights, airbag modules, inverter.

 

Completely normal. If you really want to see some warm center consoles check out the RX8.

 

It could also be the fact that there's pretty much no insulation under there and it's right over the transmission. Mine is always warm haha

You got a scan guage or ultra guage ?
You can monitor transmission temps with them both .
I see you live in Nebraska . With this said , I cant see the temps being much different than were I live up in Canada .
You guys still get just as much crappy weather
Try one of the above mentioned scanners . At least it will give you peace of mind
