Highbeams: negative or positive switched?

    Does the 2015 Tacoma use a negative or a positive circuit to activate the high beams?

    I actually just went through this. Mine is conventionally switched (positive).

    The test procedure is as follows:
    Looking at the back of the headlight plug (from the driver seat position) the left vertical plug in the headlight plug is the 'common' wire.

    On a conventionally switched vehicle when you turn your headlights on there will be no measured voltage in the common wire. In a ground switched vehicle with the headlights on you will have 12v in the common wire.

    Use a multimeter or bulb voltage detector to test your truck.

    I wired some lightforce 240 driving lights following a positive circuited wiring diagram.. I also used one of those air on board switches.

    Everything works no issues.
