I recently purchased a brand new 2015 Tacoma. I have less than 400 km on it. When I pull to a stop a second later I feel a slight surge. By surge I mean it seems as if the motor is still trying to push forward. Is this normal for a new Truck. My only experience with trucks is with my 2002 Ranger that has a 5 speed.
Any one have the same thing. It doesn't affect the driveability but I would like to know if this is normal?

Yes my truck does that but I don't think it's a problem. Seems like the engine settling after being driven. It happens a lot if not all the time. Feels like a push

I will make sure I check this out on my first service. I have owned many automatic vehicles and non of them does this.

Did you have the heat or AC on? Mines does exactly what you just said when I have either the heat or AC on.

Yes....if you have the a/c and/or one of the defroster settings on there is a slight idle compensation when the compressor engages. If your foot is lightly on the brake instead of firmly, it's more pronounced. Perfectly normal.

Possibly your tranny. Mine does that to every now and then but my truck is older so I sometimes hear a bump noise to go with it.
