so the so called LSD in the TRD sport isn't an actual mechanical LSD, it just uses the breaking system to act like a LSD.
So when I have the locker disengaged it will act as an open diff (like ARB says) and if it starts to sense slip etc the LSD imitator will kick in, but if I lock with the ARB it will not. Just trying to clarify, the way you worded it seemed a bit confusing lol

Ahhhh, everyone who will pay nearly $40k for a limited and then install an after market rear end and void your warranty, on a vehicle that OP will just drive in snow on road, raise your hand. Seriously, is this an option ?

limited is way too expensive. I was looking into it then realized all you get is fake leather and some fancy perks and fancy fake chrome. not worth it. keep the money and put it into a ARB. I wish canada wasn't getting shafted and I could just get an OR, but it only comes as AC here so no good for me.

Hold trac button in for three seconds.. You can do all you want for free. :devil:Needing a locker in snow in high range...means you need better tires in snow.

why for 3 sec? is there some sort of secondary traction control?
I know in the subaru sti you press it and the traction light comes on yellow, if the wheels slip too much traction control kicks back in, but if you hold it for 5 seconds it goes red and then it will never come back on. Same thing?

I know it can be done...just asking. it's a locker fetish this group has...that's all they talk about.... I never used one over ten mph plowing or off road.
