It is the whole exhaust system, just cut to fit a regular cab truck.

I don't have any more videos of it, but I can always take more, just in different positions (not driving, etc.). To me, I think all of the other magnaflow exhausts are much louder than the TRD system (except tooter's). You can be quiet when you want to, or step on it and make it noticeable in the cab.
No problem, I am glad I could help out on this thread.

Decided it was time to put up a sound clip now that i'm going a different route on Monday. I used this thread last year to pick out an exhaust, ended up going with a Magnaflow 11255. First let me start by saying it sounds a lot like a subie. It's loud when you want it to be, but otherwise just a nice rumble. Very little drone that is only noticeable if the windows are up and the radios off. I've been very happy with this set up, I just want to try something new.

Where are the rest of the 1st gens??? Both of these sound awesome!

I'm not sure what the stock exhaust pipe diameter is on the 1st gens, but I think my exhaust must've been butchered before I bought it. I've got a 2" pipe (measured with a caliper) from the cat back. I always thought the 1st gens were supposed to be 2.25" stock. Anyhow, I don't really want to increase the noise levels a lot, but I'm hoping to pull a little extra torque out of my beloved 3RZ.

Depending on what the stock exhaust diameter is supposed to be, I'm looking at either a 2" or 2.25" IN / 2" or 2.25" DUAL OUT. I don't really want to increase the size of the pipe from the cat to the muffler, because from my understanding that's how you kill torque, and putting an exhaust meant to give power gains in the mid-high RPM range on an automatic truck seems null to me. With regards to torque and sound, would it be best to split the pipe and then run two smaller mufflers or just use a single-in/dual-out? I don't use the spare tire carrier under the bed (no appropriate size spare), so I was debating splitting the pipe before the axle and running to two mufflers. Any advice?

I suppose I should mention that I have an LCE Header and plan on installing a high-flow cat when I do the exhaust.

ummm, yeah. Got the hdr and didn't add the Gibson catback until later and the midpipe with cats is still oem. Both things made a difference.

Your header is the primary source of power in your exhaust system. A well built header will produce far more power then any muffler or catless mid pipe. I'd be willing to bet that a catback on our trucks produce less then 5whp. Being a small motor and NA there's just not much power to be had from the exhaust system.

Thank you. I was worried about it being too loud and too much drone. But it is neither. Sound is perfect and no drone so far.

From what I understand it will sound just like it did day 1 through its "life" . @tooter suggests this exhaust over most. He has done dyno tests. His dyno tests are on page two of one of my old threads that for some reason died, lol. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/best-bang-for-your-buck-4-cylinder-mods.352450/
