Just a question I've been wondering. I bought my Tacoma new about 3 months ago and during this last hurricane on the east coast I suffered some large trees down in my back yard. I've since cut all of the wood up and have been hauling heavy loads of wood away with the truck. I didn't realize gill after I bought it that it doesn't have a "tow/haul" button like my F-150's had. It has D, 4, 3, 2, and L. Is 4 the same as using a "tow/haul" button?

4 just keeps it in 4 as the top gear. It doesn't hold gears longer like the "tow/haul" feature in other trucks. Not exactly the same thing.

Thanks man I appreciate it. I'm probably going to be trading this one in for a new one in 4 years anyways but in case I decide to drive it till the wheels fall off I wanna be mindful of the transmission. Haha

Thanks man I appreciate the reply! I have noticed that in my other trucks, they held the gears longer and also automatically down shifted for you in "tow Haul" mode.
