What's up TacomaWorld! Figured I should finally step out of the shadows and introduce myself, so here goes. Don't expect much of a build, this will be more of a picture sharing/BS thread.

Way too many mods and most of them were done by the previous owner so I won't go into too much detail, but if anyone wants to know anything specific let me know!

    To-do list:
*get camper shell color matched and wired up
*find a way to get my spare tire mounted under the bed
    *add an aux. backup light

Yea I need to figure out how to get a larger spare to fit under there. Good luck! and let me know if you find a solution. You got a nice rig and a long story, lol.

Will do! I have found some threads on the topic on here but I haven't gotten a chance to get underneath and take a look at things.

One of the first things I did when I got the truck was to relocate the radio antenna from behind the cab to the front windshield/hood area. The previous owner had installed this custom wound antenna, I'm assuming because the aftermarket fender flares no longer allowed it to be mounted in the factory location. Since I wanted to get a camper shell, it had to move.

Original mounting location behind driver's side rear window:

I had a spare Relentless Fab hood cb radio antenna mount that I could attach it to. After some searching I found the parts I needed on McMaster:
    • 7529K5 - Straight Cord Grip, Steel, 1/2 Trade Size, for 0.38"-0.5" Cord Diameter
    • 50925K316 - Compact Extreme-Pressure Steel Thread Fitting, 1/2 Female X 1/4 Male Pipe Size, 1-11/16" L, Adapter $5.38
    • 4452K672 - Type 316 Stainless Steel Threaded Pipe Fitting, 1/4 Pipe Size, Locknut, 150 PSI $5.24
The cord grip was ordered to the diameter of the antenna so that it could tighten down and hold it snug:

The reducer fitting was needed to get the male side of the threading small enough to fit through the hole in the Relentless Fab mount. I had to drill it out slightly so that the antenna cord could fit through:

    Put them together:

Then use the locknut to attach to the underneath side of the Relentless Fab mount. I sprayed a couple quick coats plastidip which I think looks better than shiny stainless steel.

Hopefully someone can find this useful, I did a ton of searching and couldn't find anything similar anywhere on Tacomaworld. One note though - the antenna is somewhat flimsy and bends back quite a bit when driving, especially at freeway speeds.
