    Here's my story

Just a lowly Lcpl of the Marine Corps in the ups and downs I've been threw 4+ years in service been around the world twice for a combined 15 months and been stationed in 29 Palms (yeah it's a place in CA believe it or not) but I have tried whenever I'm not training to go out and explore the world on off road adventures
I love getting outside and finding new places, new fishing spots, new hiking areas etc but I always wanted a vehicle that could show that life style a tough and capable look just like being in the military. The Tacoma was a no brainier so I got a 2011 DCSB OR after my first Afghanistan deployment but I don't get the time to work on it too much, last year I finally had the time and money to install an Icon Stage 3 lift and I love it; it expanded the capabilities of going off road and adventure more than I thought it would but now I need a tougher look upfront to look the real deal. A Demello off-road bumper would be amazing especially since I'm down to the last 2 months off my time in the Corps so now it's the time I can get serious on my build and go adventure for a couple months to unwind from the stress and running around of the last 4 years
Also my adventure buddy owns a Jeep so we battle out on who's rig is better and this would easily put me over his

Just posted it on here and FB to be safe!

Why do I need a Demello Offroad bumper equipped with Baja Designs lights? Because of who I am and what I do…….

As a young boy in my adolescence, my father flushed my gold fish down the toilet because he didn’t like the upkeep on the tank. I was never allowed to have pets, and I grew to watch my friends get puppies and kittens for holiday gifts. Like all children nowadays, they abused the love of those creatures and left them outside in the rain, kicked them when they were mad, and supplied large quantities of highly concentrated catnip, setting these poor defenseless animals up for life of failure. I vowed to save those animals from their abandonment and provide the justice, and the care, that they deserve.

I roam the streets of a highly populated metropolitan area, searching for the innocent, the abandoned, and the nearly extinct. I do it for those who have fallen to addiction because of their previous owners and can no longer take care of themselves. Those ASPCA commercials are the Disney version of what’s really out there. You ask for saving seven kittens in a burning building, I call your seven and raise you 16.

Two years ago, a 43 year old woman left the Christmas lights on her tree into late February. The tree, and the house, caught fire. Luckily, I happened to be driving by in my Tacoma TRD Offroad, double cab, short bed. The smell of burned scratching posts and yarn still haunts me to this day. I saved all 23 of her cats and tucked them nicely in the bed of my truck, outfitted with an orgy of cardboard scratching posts. When she moved in to her new home, she promised to be more responsible. I checked on her several times, and to this day, she has one of the safest houses in the neighborhood and runs a buttermilk and catnip rehabilitation clinic.

My Tacoma has seen better days. After a short stint working with the Extreme Justice League here in San Diego, I learned most of those guys only “spray and pray” with mace when it comes to who they think are criminals. Unfortunately, being the only adult with a car, I ended up becoming the chauffer at several events where angry individuals who were sprayed in the face with bear mace, took their nasty, snot covered faces and arms and applied them to my poor truck. So I left the fearsome gaggle of homebrew goons and set off to assist the innocent elsewhere.

Serving the needs of the many is not a high paying gig. Yes, my truck is not cheap, but believe me, I’ve spent many a fortnight at the head of role playing games as a Dungeon Master to supplement my income. While I’m not proud of this by any means, I must do so to appease my wife. Every Tuesday and Thursday night from 7pm until the game ends, I re-live the fantasies of mouth-breathers, frolicking through unknown wilderness, fighting mythical creatures, while they use their sweaty-palmed hands to drink cases of “hearty ale” (Mountain Dew) and eat a bottomless bowl of Cheetos. I watch as a twenty sided die turns from an eggshell white to a yellow/orange by nights end. You speak of unicorns and waterfalls jokingly, yet I listen to 38 year old men tell tales of riding them naked through the forest to a secret meadow where they meet with a rogue elven princess and make love by a waterfall, illuminated by a full moons glow. On these days, I relive Tom Cruise’s adventure and tribulations as he searches for his love and battles the evil Tim Curry. I tell you now, you have never seen that movie until you’ve seen it through the eyes of a very lonely 38 year old man’s eyes (for those who are too young and haven’t even seen “Titanic”, you will not get the reference to the movie “Legend”).

Your Demello Offroad bumper will suit me well. It will provide the armament I need to access the more rural areas where suffering critters wallow in sorrow. It will allow more secure mounting points for tactical nets, kibble dispensers, and protection from those who text and drive. The Baja Designs lights will catch animals in awe at the sight of such warm light and invite them into my open arms so I can take them to a better home. It will also allow me to miss more than a few unfortunate nights of looking at sweaty balding men in capes and homemade fake ears, ogling over the only woman in the store, my wife.

Thought I'd have fun with it, like the post said, make them laugh. If you like it, like my post and like their page as well!!!!!!!!!!!!

    My story goes like this..
I am a single father with two perfect lil girls and we love to off-road, target shoot and any other outdoor activity. I recently traded in my 09' DCSB Prerunner Taco for a 15' DCSB 4x4 Sport since the Prerunner has gotten us stuck so many times and it's quite embarrassing when my daughters ask why my truck can't go up a steep dirt hill or mud. Things have worked out great with the new truck, I've been stuck ZERO times and its been a great time taking my daughters new places that we couldn't go before.
Currently my GF and I have a son on the way (finally!) and I now have zero funds to spend on better accessories to take the truck to even more places. :(
I am sure there are plenty of other guys that deserve this more than me but I hope you choose me and my fam. Thanks for your consideration.

Demello Offroad and Baja Designs are teaming up to give away a sweet plate bumper fit with bright lights and it could fit great on my Tacoma! We’re all deserving of some freebies now and then, and the dollar value savings on these items alone would be a huge leap forward for me on my build, but I NEED a new bumper. One capable of clearing obstacles on the trail and providing the protection needed when clearance is not enough. Currently I run the tougher parks with my front bumper cover removed and left safely at home. It’s a bit of an eyesore without it but very effective for increased approach angle and not trashing my bumper cover. I also added a steel plate from a HMMWV to my aluminum crash bar to prevent damage or rock rash. It provides no protection for my headlights and radiator support, and does very little to hide the fact that my build is incomplete.

Currently the lack of a front plate bumper is the Achilles’ heel of my armor. I have BAMF sliders with kick-outs, BAMF LCA skids, Full SOS skids, custom rear diff skid, and Trail-Gear rear bumper with custom dual swingouts WIP. I’ve approached my build just like a lot of my fellow TW members: Research mods via the search function on TW, settle on a lift kit, google image search until your eyes hurt, buy tires and nice wheels, changed directions of the build a few times, free/almost free mods shared by others, more googling, this time for armor…. Maybe that’s just been me, but I have been progressing nicely without too much of a direction. Next move is plate bumper, then locker or lockers. I need those soon as well.

Why do I deserve this mighty give away? At this point I’ve given away all my stock suspension pull-offs to a coworker, sold my sport wheels dirt cheap at a TN meet, made a fellow KY members day when I give away my aluminum TRD skid plate, assisted with mods here and there including giving away/installing freebie diff breather relocation kits, very active in the KY/TN groups and hit as many TW meets as I can, I love taking/posting pictures of my rig with varied levels of offroad badassery, i need somewhere to mount my winch, and because Demello isn't properly represented around here and this could be the rig to breakout into the southeast market. I went ahead and photoshopped the DO bumper over my sad no-bumper so we can see just how nice this bumper will tie the rig together.

    For your consideration....

Okay well till I figure out how to post it on Facebook I figured I'd give this story thing a shot.

This story is true and hopefully serve as a reason why I should be considered to represent your bumper on my tacoma! A little background about myself is a am a college student in San Diego and I have a girlfriend which I've had for the last 3 years. I've always had a tough time buying parts for my truck between gas, paying my truck off, dealing with my mom and girlfriend saying I don't need it, and seeing better looking tacomas whenever I drive around. I have slowly added piece by piece to my truck but always on a budget and always having to deal with some type of hell raising talk about wasting money. I've been planning a trip to take place my summer of graduating where I take my girlfriend and tacoma and drive up to the California coast then come back and hit Moab and overland expo. This bumper would be awesome to help safe me when the times get tough while allowing me to spend some money on other things like tires haha. Sadly, as of these last two weeks I have had to put a complete hold on all truck related purchases. I recently found out one of the two kittens I bought my girlfriend developed crystals in his bladder. I was told it would be life long but there is a chance to help by unblocking him in a surgery that ended up being $1500! My girlfriend and I put our savings together and went ahead with the surgery and all was well until this Friday when we noticed he wasn't getting better. I had a water polo tournament and the day of a game Sunday I woke to the sounds of my kitten Aden crying out in pain. We quickly grabbed him and my tacoma and drove to the nearest vet that was open at 3 am. He found the crystals had come back and now a surgery would cost $3000 dollars. My girlfriend quickly realized this was no longer a battle we could win finacially with not support from her parents or my bank and we made one of the most depressing and sad decisions I've ever had to make and put out little kitten down. My girlfriend could not bare to be in the room but I knew if I was the kitten about to die I would want my dad to be there petting me instead of a doctor. Slowly watching the life in his eyes fade was the saddest thing I've ever experienced and we still had to pay close to $400 to do the procedure. This sad situation has now brought all truck part buying to a Hault and has lead me to have to postpone any sales I had planned and even worse emotionally has been an experience I'll never forget. I hope that after reading this you'll consider me a candidate for winning your bumper! It would mean the world to me and I've heard on here how well they perform against stray cows on highways and know that I would be safer driving around in these both on and off the trails. Hopefully allowing me to travel places that can help me distract my mind from the sad and stressing emotional and financial times along with colleg studies. Please help my girlfriend and me to expedite my trucks build to the next level and help me save some money in the process.
Thank you and hopefully the odds are in my favor. Ps: rainbows and unicorns

Haha. I has no skids and no bumper, just factory stuff!

I could really use a bumper. I lose sleep at night worrying that my family and I could be stranded due to animal strike. I've got wife and 2-small kids in the truck.

Please, hook me up Jason @JDEMELLO ! :fingerscrossed:

I want to tear that hideous factory plastic off my truck!

Rainbows! Unicorns! Do these things count?!? They should! I drove over 400 miles like that!

I stand corrected, you are now back in the boat with everyone else who has no armor. I dig the stickers, mine has a few band-aid decals on it from some mishaps. I think i may find some pony stickers though thats great. But also @Unchained 5150 has a bright red skid plate he may not want to remove since its part of his theme.
