cbi ditch light brackets

    Ok got me some cbi ditch light brackets for my rigid duallys gunna do the install but got a question after I remove the wipers and the cowling it says to trim the cowling what would y'all recommend trimming that with

    i used some snips to cut most of the plastic. I rounded off the edges with a dremel. I suggest test fit plenty of times, so you don't cut off more than you need........cut fit, then cut and fit again.

    Also depends on what tools you have at your disposal. I used a dremel for the majority of the cutting. Fine tuned with a razor knife and finished everything off on my bench top belt sander (2 different grits) to smooth it all out. Seems like overkill, I know, but I like it to look like nothing was done to it. It only took me about 15 min though. Took me longer to clean up and put everything away.

    Really, you could just go in there with a carpet knife and get the job done. The plastic is really thin and cuts easily. Just go slow and be careful.

    Nope. You could just follow the bend in the plastic though. It's like it wants to be cut there. Just be careful on the passenger side- there's a bit of weatherstripping underneath that helps seal the cab air filter.
