Can anyone tell me if the aftermarket Satellite antennas will directly plug into the back of a 2014 Tacoma radio that is satellite equipped? I was looking to replace it in my 2013 model which has no satellite its just the base radio no nav no sat.

I'm assuming your 2013 HU is the touchscreen right, since you have a TRD Sport? If so, you could simply add aftermarket SAT to your 13' touchscreen with a kit. The 2014 Screens as I understand just need the OEM Sat antenna connection but I could be wrong.

Lucky us 13 owners, Toyota having SAT in 12' and then 14'+ model years, but we got screwed.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
I seem to recall reading that Toyota uses a bastard plug that is odd.

If you have a SAT button on an older radio, you can add a module. It is stupid expensive and IMO not worth doing. These radios, and especially my Entune in my '14 suck horribly. I'd go with aftermarket, it will be cheaper and work better. There is also a place in Texas I believe that sells OEM takeout radios if you absolutely need an OEM.

Thanks guys for the info and yes JdevTac although my unit is touchscreen us 13 owners got the shaft. I have looked at a decent aftermarket satellite kit which retails for $249 U.S. but I have access to a 2014 radio with the xm module for less than the cost of the satellite but I am thinking the aftermarket antenna will not work with the oe unit. I was hoping there was an adapter. I initially thought about trying to strip the 2014 model of its wiring up to the shark fin but I think that's too much of a pita plus the shark fin was broken off . I do not like the look of the aftermarket antenna on the truck either unless I could find a really clean way of attaching it.
