My dealer has the oem set for 79, but they also have a "kit" which they say is the same pads but with the shims, and they only want 55 for that. Thought that was weird, do you guys get the same deal?

No need to buy new rotors unless your current rotors are too thin, warped badly, or worn badly.... have the rotors 'turned' by a machine shop (who does that kinda work). The machine shop will be able to tell you if there's enough material there to make a good 'cut'.

If you're anywhere near Lancaster...I recommend Reardons Machine Shop - 318 N Concord St, Lancaster, PA 17603
    Phone 717) 394-7237

Go with OEM Toyota pads...you can get them just about anywhere, just search around. Look for 'sponsors' on this forum.

I had mine turned at Reardons back in 2012 with 51K miles on them. They were in great shape when I turned them...and they've been working great ever since.
