i searched the Texas threads but did not see a recent post for reputable dealers to service vehicles. I just bought a Tacoma and Corolla at Freeman Toyota within the past couple weeks. I saw some old threads on where to take your vehicles but wanting to bring this back up. I have nothing but positive things to say about the purchase process but want to avoid the trial and error and nightmares from the service side. Anyone have bad experiences with Freeman's service dept?

FYI if the service dept at Grapevine Toyota is like their sales dept....avoid them. Terrible sales experience there lost any future business from myself.

Previous Tacoma was taken to Toyota of Richardson a few times. Highly recommend if you're looking for shitty communication. Mechanical work was as expected. Everything else was disappointing.

Sounds like Toyota of Fort Worth, communication was awful, but they fixed it and didn't go crazy with the bill

I recently had scratched toyota of Dallas and toyota of Denton off my list after receiving awful customer service at both locations. Took my truck to sport city on a whim while I was on that side of town, they are now getting the money I was going to spend at the other stores because they talked to me like a human being. I also had a terrible buying experience at Lewisville.

FYI, I have not had any issues with the Grapevine service department on my 2013 PreRunner. Chase Hataway seems like a real nice guy to me.

I have an appointment @ Freeman Toyota tomorrow for a couple of minor things (tire purge/nitrogen service & debadge). I'll try to remember to report back on my experience. Hopefully, they're at least tolerable, they're going to be servicing my vehicle for the foreseeable future (maint & warranty).

Hey vey cool. Thanks. I will be going in about a week for the standard Maint package. I will be marking my tires and oil filter to check up on them and make sure the work gets done.

Patt Lobb Toyota of McKinney is great. I have had only positive experiences there.

First impressions of Freeman Toyota service department is GOOD! My appointment time wasn't until 12:30, but I arrived shortly after noon and they got me right in. Initially, I was told by the service writer (Mike) that it'd be about 2 hours to purge the air and do the nitrogen service and remove the "other" dealership's badge (plus they had to take it to their used car lot on the other side of the freeway for the nitrogen service).

After waiting in their lounge for between 30-35 minutes (12:40 according to my iPad), Mike came back and told me I was ready to go! I asked how they managed to get it done so quickly and apparently the service manager was notified that a brand-new vehicle was brought back for a missed purchase item and he got them right on it!

Hopefully all visits will be just like this one!

Nothing. The nitrogen is part of the premium service protection plan and the debadge was offered last Friday when I picked it up but didn't have time to wait to have it done.

Went to Freeman Toyota on Friday. Told me rotation and oil change was going to be 1.5 hrs. Was out of there in 40 mins. The only issue I had was the valve stem caps were all put on by a few threads. Tightened them down before I took off.

On a separate note I marked the tires to ensure there was no trickery and all was good. However, I forgot to mark the oil filter. Someone said the original factory would be different than the dealer filter. Anyone know the filter markings from the factory I forgot what it looked like. I know it is a little anal but with previous issues I have had at other dealers with other vehicles I want to be sure all was done correctly.

Yeah, I had the same issue with mine. Not sure what's so tough about getting them on tight enough to stay on?!?
