Ford sells a lot of trucks because the quality is OKAY and they are great at mass-producing them cheaply thus making huge profits. They can sell them with incentives because of that very reason.

Sales numbers might be the worst-correlated metric for automotive merits. The CR-V and Camry are the top sellers in their segments, and both are inferior to Mazda's offerings which sell 3x-8x fewer, respectively.

Brothers, don't forget that the 2015 Colorado looks like a mini van and some how won truck of the year last year. Is it just me that feels like Chevrolet bought the truck of the year award? Surely the Colorado wasn't better than the 2015 Ford F-150 or the 2015 Tundra. Also, people aren't stupid - the 2015 Taco out sold the 2015 Colorado by leaps and bounds. Chevy is trying but will ultimately lose the battle.

Yeah the Colorado is a Chevy Equinox with a bed. They even said they wanted to pull people from the crossover segment into the new twins. I do like that the Tacoma (OR package at least...)is pretty much the last truck on the market with an emphasis on having decent ground clearance.

Well your problem is that 2015 Tacoma is outselling not only 2015 Colorado but 2016 Tacoma too.. Dealer near me so far sold 1 2016 Tacoma, but it just sold last 2015 Tacoma.
Check this out, Somebody bought a 2wd Tacoma in New England rather then buying 2016 Tacoma. Talking about burn ...
And believe me, to sell 2wd in New England is like miracle happening.

    Dude bought a 2wd drive over a 4wd 2016, or a 2wd 2016? Either way genius move buying a 2wd taco in New England.

Meanwhile Chevy Colorado owners are falling victim to GMC's 2 model ploy to confuse the market. Wondering if they made the right decision .
"maybe i should've bought the Canyon!?!"

    http://gmauthority.com/blog/2013/02/mailbag-gms-two-brand-truck-strategy-is-bs-so-is-gmc/

Humor me by reading the transcription of Mark Ruess’ speech: “At Chevrolet and GMC, our goal is simple: to meet the specific needs of a broad customer base: no compromises, not for our customers, and certainly not in our trucks.

But let me correct myself: it’s really not a three-trucks strategy, it’s in fact a six-truck strategy — three sizes off of two brands.

Wow, if its true the GM twins are better then 3rd gens, just imagine how far ahead they are of 2nd gens, with their wimpy grills, 90s interiors, not to mention the whole "I lost my $15/hr job at the plant, that's why Im driving a 10 yr old truck" vibe. Unsettling.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm not sure where @BlueT was going with that. Guess what, I bought an F150 over a Tacoma and a Colorado. F150 MUST BE THE BESTEST FOR EVERYONE THAN RIGHT?

    Failed logic right there.

Nice run on sentence. It will go well with your southern accent, freshly printed GED, and brand new Chevrolet Colorado. :p

I am pretty sure he could have ordered anything for 2016 (in production) went instead with 2wd 2015.
So far that dealer have not sold many 2016 Trucks.

IMO the only reason people are buying the GMC/Chevy is because it's an "American" truck. If people realized that more Tacos are made in the USA than GM. I think sales on the toyota would go up. Again keep in mind that eveyone is comparing the GM to Toyota which in my mind tells me that Toyota is the benchmark.

Said it before and I'll say it again, Colorado looks like a penis with an air dam and zero ground clearance. Inside looks like a 1990s malibu. It's the last truck I'd buy. Matter of fact, I'd rather have a malibu.

The Colorado is better at doing truck stuff than the tacoma, so where does that put the tacoma in relation to the Equinox? Can the tacoma even out truck the Equinox?

Who ever knocked the old S10 and the motor, that 4.3 will run for ages. Sure the dash will be in pieces and other cosmetic problems but the thing will run.

Looks are subjective, you don't like the sporty look for the Colorado and call it minivan esque there is a completely different design theme on the other side of the lot. That is what is great about a two truck strategy. Who is talking crap on looks and can honestly keep a straight face regarding the 2016 tacoma?
