Does anyone have any info on how its different?

A lot of people like to hate on the fact that the 3.5L is from the Sienna, but number wise it is more powerful and efficient compared to the older 4.0L. I know people say it doesn't feel as peppy but that can be the gearing and transmission.

Regardless though even if its the Sienna engine, does anyone know if its the EXACT same?

Some reason I doubt its the exact same.
Its the same engine the Lotus Evora uses and theirs is tuned differently to have a higher output. So I'm pretty sure it would be the same case with the new tacoma. I can't see them building it and tuning it the exact same as the Sienna.

a lot of people are saying its the engine out of the Sienna.

But yes now that I look closer the Sienna is the 2GR-FE
    Taco is 2GR-FKS

Probably same block but all internals and tuning is different.

If they are the same block, then the 2nd Gen 4.0 is also the same block as the Sienna
