If YOU total it, it will be worth having collision.

But, in an accident you're more likely to get hit by somebody that didnt see you, rather than you hit somebody. I'm not even sure if offroad stuff would be covered in insurance anyway

Go online and do a price comparo, I bet it'll be like $30/mo

    That falls under liability.

Collision only covers your shit if you're at fault.

With your truck, yea have collision because sheetmetal and the intricate shit hidden behind it is expensive.

But on a bike, especially a dirtbike, the most likely to get damaged stuff like plastics, lights, etc are cheap enough to replace on your own and likely wouldn't even meet your deductible unless its $100

So, basically anything short of total loss its cheaper to replace than spend it on insurance.

i think offroad use is still covered under state farm. i know they cover any damage that occurs on a track so long as it is not a competitive or timed event.

full coverage also will cover theft. liability will not. personally i wont get rid of full coverage ever on a bike unless the bike value was less than $1k.

but if youre not hurting for the money, then i wouldnt switch it. instead just do some price comparing with brands for the same coverage.
their vehicle will get fixed and your bike wont.

Did you finance the bike? If you don't own it outright, your lender will probably require full coverage. Otherwise, I agree, min requirements by law

Does state farm join collision with comp, or are they seperate? comp is what covers theft, and I'd absolutely keep that. But drop collision, or at minimum up it to the max deductable if you fuck your frame up or something.

I like all the perks of full coverage and i can certainly afford the payment. Would i prefer it be half what it is? Sure. But i'm not going to let fuck myself to get it there. Its not worth it to me. Besides, in Maryland....any insurance policy on any vehicle with a loan, absolutely has to be full coverage or they will not even write the policy.
