This is probably tacoma 101 stuff, but I'm new and I haven't found the info through searching. Last week I bought my 98 limited 4x4. Here's a shortlist of things I want to fix right away, but I'm having issues sourcing the right replacements:

    1. front passenger side fender flare - a large section of the rubber gasket seal stuff has corroded away. Other 3 flares are fine, but I'll probably take them off to repaint them anyway. Where can I find the right gasket material? Will I be able to reuse the gasket on the 3 that look ok?
    2. While the front flare is off I want to get into the wheel well to either fix the motorized antenna motor or at least unplug it and replace with a non-motorized antenna. Is there a standard plastic push clip replacement for the plastic splash guard? I haven't tried to remove any of those clips yet, but I've heard they usually break when you remove them. They're the round black plastic plugs with a hole in the center.
    3. One of the bumper-mounted license plate light assemblies needs replacing. The big rubber gasket is cracked in half and allowed the light to fill up with water (and algae). It looks like there was an interior gasket sandwiched between the clear plastic dome (also cracked) and the plastic body of the light that was basically turned to mush. It seems I'd be better off just replacing the whole thing. Are there recommended aftermarket replacements or do I hit a junk yard?
Thanks for any help! I've been reading this forum obsessively for the weeks leading up to getting my first tacoma.

OK, so I found the toyota part number for the rubber flare trim: 53851-35061. Is this something I can find cheaper from another brand than $19 per flare?

Do your self a favor and buy the oem Toyota rubbers. Our they are gonna look like garbage when they start pulling out the corners because they are shrinking etc

It costs about $80 (with a discount) to outfit a whole truck with new trim. I bought all new trim for my truck a little over a year ago. In my search for alternatives to this high price I ended up finding the OEM supplier that Toyota buys the strips from. The problem is the minimum order size is 500ft. How many of you would buy a set at 1/2 off the OEM price?
