    Glass thickness 3/16ths
    Height from bottom of glass edge to top of RTP approx. 1/4
    Off set to be corrected approx. 1/4

    Caveat: all measurements taken with measuring tape at night with headlamp and reading glasses

    23mm = .905 in.
    3mm = .118 inch

    1. LOL no, that is from teh webz. I think it may work. Damn cheap too.
    2. :) That trail was a lot of fun, then we ran down the sandy track (also a ton of fun) back to another dirt road, past the dinosaur tracks, and back to the highway.

    I stuffed the fender flares into the left bank of this damn thing (lower line), almost got stuck, managed to rock it out. I agonized over the hi or low line before proceeding, and the high line doesn't look as bad here as it looked to me, especially as you round the little bend to the right and get closer to the small tree, and the soil was very soft. I thought, Hm, if I roll, I'm upside down in a DD without anyone to assist. I'll go low.

    1. Yes, there is the shipping charge from Hong Kong. Or wherever the fuck. I just can't believe I can't find anything like that this side of the Pacific. And all I keep thinking of is this:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYGw02Kzu5I

    2. Yes you did. That is the first descent down past the Marching Men on the way behind them to, uh, whatever that arch is called. At the bottom of the descent is the straightish sandy run and the T junction (left turn) that runs down to the really long sandy/wash run to Elephant rock and back to the main road.

    That's the one. Yeah, apparently that first bit has become far more thrashed over the past few years. I had zero armor or sliders, so picked the easiest line I could and went right up it. The ranger I talked to the night before said a few spots on the sandy road out were getting people stuck (like not getting out without help stuck) sometimes, and I can think of two areas where I almost has issues. This is the area where the ranger said then Send Out The Raptor to get people unstuck...and the heavy, fat Raptor gets stuck. LOL.

    I was running 18 psi and cruising with a shit-eating grin the whole time. There was just one upgrade with a deep trench rut against a wall where I could tell I might have an issue with getting the the 3rd stuck on the ridge between the wheels, and there were walls on both side and no other line options, so I got a good run up before that, got a little iffy in the middle. Then the last one, similar situation, near that small lonely tree. Looked like heavy erosion and people probably gunning through with wheels spinning making it even worse.

    E rated AT2s are only 49 lbs? Not bad.

    What do the Cooper's weigh?

    Agreed on that but I assume it wasn't by mistake.

    I have the ATP, which is essentially the AT3.

    Replaced the Leer door struts with new ones today, and picked up some of this RV seal to experiment with. All they had, even if id won't work for the door flap, I can make good use of it elsewhere.

    Yeah, I'm not trying to match a comp to the LTX AT2, but instead something different. I've read up on the Cooper AT3s, too.

    I loved the P class AT2s on my first gen, never skipped a bit in any conditions on or off-road, and for a DD, I don't think they can be beat. Love them to death, and @teamhypoxia has run the LT class E ratings in far more challenging conditions than I have. The E rating concerns me for daily comfort, but I have a feeling a Michelin E could be more forgiving on ride than anyone else's E. So, if I go with this type of tire, I have no real reason to deviate from the Michelin.

    If I'm feeling cheeky, and a bit randy, and my dander is up, I might go after the ST Maxx only because I have heard great things about all Coopers, but also because folks have reviewed these as being surprisingly quiet (and well mannered) for this tread type. More aggressive tread could help in some circumstances and, well, they look pretty badass.

    It's a great idea. You just reminded me that I had an after school job working at a magnetic tool shop when I was in high school.

    I'd say you're right. I usually run them at 45psi on the road and they might be a tiny bit harsh at those pressures.
    Every so often I'll run them at 32 or so.
    I won't air all the way up after a trail.
    Sometimes I forget when I get home.
    When I get them rotated they usually drop them.
    Etc.
    At 32 they're super plush.

    :thumbsup:

    On the Ps on my lighter 01 TRD, I ran them pretty much at Toyota spec on the door sticker for DD, which was 26 F 28 R, I thk I was usually at 28/30. Towing/camping I'd go up to 32ish all around.

    Aired down at 18, worked great everywhere, but I was concerned about the sidewall on those, only 2 ply, so never went any lower.

    Thanks again for the input. Really helpful. I can't think of anyone else who runs these like you do.

    If I do end up with these (or whatever I end up with), I'll do some chalk tests.
