That beating would have been a walk in the park until I got home or out of JVT....

Way back when I was in school, the teacher would simply have everyone else leave. Two principals and the counselor would deal with the situation without benefit of the audience.

No one ever got a beating.

No one ever went to jail.

For some stupid reason, people have have to act stupid when they feel the need to show tough to their friends.

Of course, if the school had a no-phones policy like so many do now this would have been moot as well.

The officer overstepped his role the moment he threw her, which changed the situation from restraint to assault. He was wrong in that only, but the school fucked up in letting the situation evolve to that.

    Girl is still a "twant."

    Head unit. That's it.

I dunno. I see your point, however, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I suppose the best option would have been so simply move her and the desk into the hallway. If she bailed, then restrain....it didn't go well at all.

The weirdest thing though, I've never been tossed by a cop, or physically abused. Even when I was detained once. It was calm, even though they clamped those cuffs really tight, the officer loosened them once in the cruiser...(front seat, mind you) because I simply complied to reasonable requests. Oh, and did so, the FIRST time it was requested.

This is why there should be corporal punishment in high school still. When I was in HS people didn't fuck around because no person wants to be spanked by a paddle

Especially where the vice-principal (who would administer said whoopin') was the baseball coach and a former professional baseball pitcher. One flick of his massive wrist and the paddle was supersonic.

"Yes sir, coach Williams" was delivered with respect from everyone!

I have encountered cops more times than i care to talk about.

I will say, i have never ever had a cop be a complete dick to me. In the beginning, sometimes. But you never know what they just saw... they could have just seen someone die for all i know.. I always treat them with as much respect as possible, yes sir, no sir, answer every question 99% honest (LOL) and they always end up being a nice cop.

I'm sure it probably had some 22" chrome wheels as well and just took it off before trying to sell. Can't have all the goodies without bling wheels.

    The better coast

Pretty much this. Just because she is acting out doesn't mean the proper steps should not be taken in removing her from the class.

Being a professional includes keeping it together even when youre about to blow.

In China the teacher would have just hit you with a ruler while you were sitting in the seat. Hit you til you cry, then turn around and continue teaching class.

I just looked it up, the PRC kill 5000+ people a year in just such a fashion, although they are using lethal injection more frequently now.

Capital punishment is one of the classical Five Punishments of China's dynastic period. In Chinese philosophy, capital punishment was supported by the Legalists but its application was tempered by the Confucianists, who preferred rehabilitation over punishment, let alone capital punishment. In Communist philosophy, Vladimir Lenin advocated the retention of the death penalty, while Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels claimed that the practice was "feudal" and a symbol of "capitalist oppression". Chairman Mao Zedong of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and his government somewhat glorified, to an extent, the death penalty's transient place in the legal system, while advocating that it be used for a limited number of counterrevolutionaries. The market reformer Deng Xiaoping after him stressed that the practice must not be abolished, and advocated its wider use against recidivists and corrupt officials. Leaders of China's minor, non-communist parties have also advocated for a wider use of the death penalty. Both Deng and Mao viewed the death penalty as having tremendous popular support, and portrayed the practice as a means "to assuage the people's anger".
