I've gotten around 360 a couple times with 18 to fill. So I should've had another 60miles left and been able to hit 400 before running on vapor. But wasn't about to push it. :D

Does anyone notice - or it is just me - that the truck actually has more 'spunk' when the A/C is on?

My previous vehicles I've had and even my 96 tacoma - the A/C would bog them down a bit.

This tacoma actually feels like it has more pep with the A/C on.....??? Did Toyota compensate for the A/C in the programming or am I imagining it?

Up early, or can't sleep either?

I think you're on crack! I can FEEL mine bogging down when the AC is on. I drove from NY to Altoona, PA and back a couple weeks ago for a funeral. No AC down, AC most of the way back. BIG difference! Maybe not so much cruising flat highways, but definitely noticeable trying to climb hills. Had to rev it more and down shift more often/sooner. And that's with my AFE filter. Then again, maybe my larger tires cut down the torque enough that I notice it more that you do......

I noticed that as well. I found that the Toyota ECU does some adjustments when the AC is on. i.e.; advances timeing, and something to do with the "idle up circut". I feel no difference with my AC on. It could also have to do with what octain fuel you run. If you run 87, it wont advance the timeing as much, therefore one may notice when the AC is on. I run 89 in mine.

THE TOP HALF OF THE TANK IS A DIFFERENT SHAPE THAN THE BOTTOM and the level sensor is an indication of fuel level not graduated gallon decreases.

Mine's like that, but at the 1/2 mark it's right on the nuts.
