    I'll be moving to Eglin AFB with the Army here in about 4 months and I'm curious what the gun laws are in Florida as far as Conceal Carry and having a permit. Here in Arizona you can conceal carry without a permit, but I understand not all states are anywhere close to this.

    You need a permit, take a class, send info in to Tallahassee, and pay the fee and wait a couple of weeks - months to get it.

    If I'm not mistaken active military can carry concealed nationwide. Never hurts to have a ccw but as far as I know you should be good. I would double check in the military section

    Active might be like me, a vet can take their DD-214 and bypass the class requirement. Just need to get finger-printed, show DD-214, pay fee.
