I believe I saw the same thing a while back.....people speculated sti brz for 2015.... When it didn't happen rumors for the 16 model year began to swirl. I honestly don't keep up with the Subaru world that much at all but that brz always caught my eye. Isn't there a few companies making s/c's and turbos for the frs and brz??

I also heard that Subaru was planning a twin turbo (+-500HP) for 2018 but who knows. It would be awesome to see the FRS\BRZ with the WRX STI engine, then I'll buy one.

I "personally" wouldn't buy one with that much HP. The thing that makes the FRS / BRZ so great is the balance it has right now. I think if it had 25 more HP give or take it would be damn near perfect. To me, this isn't a car that's supposed to win a drag race but a car that is built for "pure" driving enjoyment. Yes it is decently fast but I wouldn't want to line up with a Corvette. Hell... A Honda Accord would be a close race. The thing about the FRS is it does everything right. It is a true "all around" sports car that won't break the bank to own. For affordable driving enjoyment there really isn't anything that comes to mind that touches the FRS other than maybe a Mazda MX5

The FRS is a great handling car.. But does need a little more power... A 15 year old s2000 is still quicker around a track stock vs stock. (why I prefer my s2000)i just can't go from a turbo s2000 to an na Frs.

My wife has an FR-S. Its fun to drive but they cant get out of their own way. Pretty slow but handles very well. Good drift cars.
