Hey peeps. I was looking to upgrade my stock speakers in my 03 taco. I currently have a in dash stereo. I was in my in friends 2001 4runner last week and his stereo was upgraded and sounds nice! What speakers do you guys recommend and have experience with? I want to hear what you guys have. Also maybe add sub box and amp. Thanks in advance.

What's your budget? That will be the biggest factor in all of this...

Max maybe for the whole set up 500? To be pretty honest never really looked at prices for my truck's audio system

you have a lot of options with that price range. I went with Infinity front and rear and all together was under $400 (I also got 6.5 for the fronts with an adapter)

What exactly do you want to include in the upgrade? Just speakers? You have a wide range of options if you're budget is $500. I have always been a fan of JL Audio, but there are several different manufactures that have quality components.

For that much money I'd buy:

    $100 head unit
    $100 pair front speakers
    $100 pair rear speakers
    $100 4-channel amp
    $50 new speaker wire
    $150 raamaudio sound deadener

    $600 total

The latter is going to give you the best bang for the buck in terms of sound improvement.
