And sent me this sweet bumper!

I know there is bad blood here on TW with Billy. Just wanted to share my experience, it's all I can speak from. I sent Billy an email through his website and got a call back, placed the order and paid in full. Billy was honest about having personal issues going on and a big lead time on all the backed up work. I figured as long as it was within my credit cards dispute window, no problem. He gave me an accurate lead time, well packaged shipping through Fastenal, and a well built bumper.

Mine is custom cut, single layer of red vinyl. Super easy for anyone with a vinyl cutter to make. I think there used to be a guy on here that did stickers?

About 9 weeks including shipping from payment to sitting in my local Fastenal.

Billy was certainly optimistic and spoke with a lot of energy about doing the bumper and getting it done quick. We then talked at length about manufacturing and his work including other projects he was in process and had on the table. He called me from the road and literally talked to me until he arrived at his destination. I told him to take as much time as he needed, I was in no rush. After I told him that, he quote about 10 weeks. This was all in the very first conversation.

I think this is where Brute Force Fab as a company had been failing in sales. All the personal drama and money owed aside, Billy should probably be under promising and over delivering. Easy to say, a lot harder to do especially when you are literally laying down the welder to pickup the phone and make a sale/check the status of an order/get over to the shippers and dig out of a hole. I'm not here to make excuses for him. I do think he gets genuinely enthusiastic about each project and personally vested in it beyond being just a product he sells.
