New member to the forum but already learned alot by looking at some of the posts specific to this issue. Not knowing the mechanics/layout of the blower motor, I reached my hand into the unit while it was running after I removed an old filter. The fan wasn't working properly and the issue was in fact the fact that the filter hadn't been changed....probably ever. Like a dummy, I stick my hand in while it was blowing looking for additional debris and hit the fan unit itself with my finger. Since that point, the fan hasn't been working at all. Would this suggest I need a new blower motor or could it be the resistor? I checked the fuses and they looked good.

    Thanks for any advice!

Get a new motor from Toyota. It is very easy to install yourself, just unplug the connector and remove the three bolts. The motor drops down out of the case.
