Time for some exterior love. I got tired of looking at beat up headlights and finally did something about it. I'm calling it a headlight restoration service.

One of my few regrets is not waxing the truck often enough. I think it's been 3-years. But I finally managed to have enough time to wash and wax.

Oh Lawd --- It's so nice! It hides all the scratches in the paint and makes it feel glass smooth! And it rained the next day and wow the water beads up! Yay wax! :headbang:

Next time you spend a little time on the paint, clay bar it. It'll feel as smooth as a baby's ass.

i saw you listed the JBA HD UCA under the worn out, obsolete...
did these not last from wheeling or were they just not that great at all?
what'd you go with after the JBAs?

Waxing the truck is definitely a big job. It's exhausting, especially by hand.
I usually do mine twice a year, once before winter and once in the spring. But like cheeke9 said, you should clay bar it first. Especially since you haven't done it in 3 years. I see you did use a "wax cleaner" but I'm not sure how well that works compared to an actual claybar. A claybar will remove all of the impurities from your clear coat and make the paint feel smooth as glass even before you wax. This is an essential step for those of us who get their trucks absolutely filthy offroad. If you skip this step (which I'm not saying you did completely, because I have no experience using that wax cleaner product) you're essentially just waxing dirt into your paint which will result in those nasty swirl marks.

I'm no expert myself and I'm sure we could go on debating for days about how to properly wax a vehicle but I when I wax my truck, I wash it first. Then I wash it again with a clearcoat cleaner which looks similar to the product you used. I then claybar it followed by polishing any blemishes/scratches. Then I do a full wax. It's quite the process, and usually takes all day, but totally worth the time and effort.

:D I purposely waited until the last month end of the warranty so I could enjoy my new lights the longest. Extended headlight warranty expires Nov 30th, 2015.

    Will do!

I've had two sets of them. The first version got bent up because they were improperly designed. I swapped those out for version 2 where were the heavy duty ones. I had three alignments with them and could not get anymore caster over the stock UCA with mild lift. So I sent those back to JBA and got a full refund. I'm rocking the stock UCA right now, and after driving this way for a while now, it seems normal and not as twitchy as it once seemed before. @teamhypoxia

I love the beads, every time I drive on the interstate I love them more. The tires balance perfectly.

I got mine directly from the source. http://www.innovativebalancing.com/ I put 8oz. into each tire before setting the bead, I got the larger ones for off-road tires. They're still small though about 1/4" the size of a metal BB. And they are dense as f***. Felt like lead to me, but they are white and are ceramic. No need for special valve stems, etc

Want to say thank you to you and @tyfoon11 for sharing your experiences with these. Was going to order JBA, but went with rebuilt balljoint camburgs from another TW member. Much alignment happiness.

EDDO, I'm glad you were spared from that mess. It was not fun. Your spec sheet looks about as beautiful as it can be. Your alignment tech must have cared about his work to get it dialed in like that.

Yeah, I've used the McGuire's kit and it works like a charm. I cheat though and use my variable speed buffer with a small wheel.
