Will a cover bought for a Ranger fit a Tacoma?

My buddy has a soft cover he bought for a 1997 Ford Ranger Crew Cab 5' bed and he said I could have it. I am struggling to figure out if it will fit my tacoma (2005 Crew Cab TRD Sport 5'bed). He isn't close by and it will cost me a 3 hour one way drive to go get it so I would like to know somewhat before i drive.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks

The answer is no. The trucks are completely different man. There is no doubt that if it is built for a ranger it won't fit a Tacoma.

 

Crew cab 5ft bed Ford Ranger?

Didn't know these unicorns existed. At least not in North America?

 

Wait.... Wait.... What? No the ranger in the USA never had a crew cab short bed option. In other parts of the world it did.

 

I never saw the truck thats just what he told me...but i won't go get it if it isn't going to fit

 

You'd be better off getting a cover that fits the Tacoma.
