    Neither .. you will have to trim with both.

    ^ This.
    If you don't do any wheeling at all, you can possibly get away with properly backspaced wheels but no guarantee.

    Ik I canfit 33's because I see people with them, I just don't know about the width. I want 12 wides but I think they will hit when I turn so maybe I should do 10 wide ?

    If you know, (assuming that "Ik" means I know) why did you ask about 33's or 285's?

    Pick a tire first, then look up the tire on the MFG's website and it will tell you the widest wheel you can go with .. I don't think there are many 33s that can take a 12 or even a 10" wide wheel

    if you don't want to trim, then you have to stick with a 32" tire. going with a 33"+ tire and a 3" lift will require some trimming somewhere. it is a combination of tire height, tire width, rim width, rim offset, lift height, and alignment. but don't be discouraged about trimming. its really not that big of a deal. for me, I trimmed the front inner wheel well, removed the mud flap, trimmed the rear inner wheel well, and did the cab mount chop and fill.

    I have a 3 in lift on my 05 and I am running 285/70/17 with 1 1/2" wheel spacers and I haven't had a problem with rubbing. I have heard that a true 33 will rub at full turn but I am not positive on that.

    No trim = 265/75

    Trim = 285 and up

    I guess it depends on OP's intended use. I had to trim just getting into parking lots and driveways though..

    oh wow. I also went with all new shocks front and rear and put more beefy coils too so that might has something to do with it.

    Well then I am not sure... I just know that I haven't had a problem with rubbing yet.
