New Tacoma Owner

Hello everyone, I'm a first time truck owner. I just bought a leftover 2015 TRD offroad and thought I'd reach out to the community to get your thoughts on what to look out for in terms of maintenance or wear and tear.

Also, I plan on taking it on the beach (nj shore) next summer. I'm not planing on driving it in the surf, but what can I do to limit the wear and tear of the salt water and sand?

Stay off of the beach. Not being a jerk but any exposure to salt is bad.

Where I live beaches are off limits for motorized vehicles except for LE and lifeguards, etc.

Welcome to TW. If you are going to be taking it on the beach often. I would recommend going to Line-X and getting an underbody protectant. I would also make sure your power wash the vehicle with extreme prejudice to make sure all the salt is off. I hate winters in the central midwest because there is usually more salt on the roads than there is snow.

 

After being on the beach I always make sure to rinse everything off really well. Also get the sand out of as many places as possible.
