Well both I guess. I meant the steering wheel, but both. From what I have seen most pieces on 2nd gens are like Lego, but I just came from a 1st gen, that uses actual fasteners like screws that you can see, LOL.

For the steering wheel, there are two access covers on either side. The left is by itself, and the right is around the cruise control arm. Pop those off with a trim tool. Then you will have access to the two bolts that hold the airbag. Its a torx screw (don't remember the size off hand). They will screw out, but have a plastic piece that prevents it from completely being removed. After you've loosened those up, the airbag unit is free. I just moved it out of my way. Now that thats out of your way, there are several screws now exposed to remove the spokes. After you take those off, they are still attached to the radio and phone controls. There are 3 screws to separate these. then you can go paint them and reverse the process.

The radio head unit was a little more of a pain because it connects into the dash on the left side and I couldn't find any other instructions on here or youtube so I winged it. This got me half way there.

Going to wait to fill... Once I put the 35s I'll check for rubbing and either cut more or fill.

Nice, thanks. I still have yet to do the first oil change or even install my Redline hood struts. A lot of time has gone into trying to unfuck Entune, too.

I just changed my Entune radio on my 2014 to a 2015 unit with Nav. It was a bit difficult to get out. I can try to help if you need info since I just did mine last weekend, so it's still a bit fresh in my mind.

I just swapped my 15' entune...the climate controls pop out (no screws) ... 2 plugs on the back. Then the 4x10mm bolts at the bottom of the head unit/bezel (need socket extension). then it has 2 prongs (left/right) on the bottom and 3 across the top. Best to use nylon pry tool at the sides on the bottom then pry from the top.

Pretty much. Alloy wheels and step bars are the only thing that'd really cause any weight difference.

If it's any help you need to be within 3 years or 60,000km or have the extended warranty to get it fixed.

Tried getting mine replaced due to the dtrl causing the lens to crack. No Bueno. Even though the issue was the cause I was over. Kinda pissed but that's the way she goes.

    work in progress...

been staring at my AP leafs waiting to go on when I get the rest of my suspension and noticed that despite never being installed and sitting in my conference room they have a fair amount of rust on them already . since rust in leafs prings tends to mean squeaking I decided to do some pre-emptive maintenance....

the plan was pulling them apart, sanding rust off and spraying rust inhibitive paint, then fluid film, then generous amounts of lithium grease before reassembly

starting to wonder what the f#@K I've gotten myself into... :(

@tyfoon11 Jay, I've never seen an All pro leaf pack apart before. I see they have enough sense to put the leaf spring isolators in there to help keep them quiet. Whether you paint them or not, I'd recommend dry moly lube, instead of a wet grease. It helps keep debris from getting stuck in the leaves. And rust looks normal to me. Better than my Dakars were when I took them apart. :D
