Has anyone done this yet? With the sticky thread on lifting stating that the 2016 rides 1" higher than the 2015 I am curious if the 885 coil will give the 2" of lift or only 1"? It seems that if the 2016 has a taller or stiffer stock coil then the 885 coil may not lift as much as it did on the 2015. Opinions?

    Its could be 3 things.

    1. Stiffer front coils
    2. Stock shocks have lower spring seats a half inch higher than 2nd gen stock shocks giving the extra 1in of lift
    3. less weight in the front (which isnt likely, maybe 100lbs diff which wouldnt make for an inch)

or a combination of all 3.

Regardless, the same spring and shock combo on a 2nd or 3rd gen should give an overall same RIDE height.... the lift amount will be different however.

    That sounds reasonable.

    I would still love to see a 2016 with 885's and Dakars.....anyone?
