2009 Tacoma, my temp display was going bad and would fix it self with a quick hit to the overhead console. I knew it was the resistor. I tried to do the solder fix and then reinstall but evidently I suck at soldering. It would not turn back on when I put it back in.

I bought a NEW one off of AMAZON (Toyota Dealer) and installed it, I did the compass calibration but the temp. display just shows three lines and sometimes shows correct temp and then sometimes shows completely wrong temp and then shows the three lines again.

Any idea what is going on?

    THANKS

I did a forum search for this but did not find anything...

Well, I was fixing to order one as well. Considering your difficulties, I'm going to hold off until a fix is presented.
