I purchased a new Tacoma 37.5k OTD for 34k on 10/16. On 10/25 with 560 I got a brake malfunction on my drivers display. The truck went into limp mode 30 mph on flat surface. The check engine light came on shortly after. Not sure of all the problems but as of today still no truck. Is anyone else having issues.

This. There will be bad trucks. It doesn't mean anything until the end of the first year. Hopefully the dealer takes good care of OP.

Ugh...I hate limp mode. That usually happens to me after a few too many drinks.

@JUSTINO can you give us a bit more info on the model?

The brake booster on the off road version is different from the rest.

Wondering if the new booster might have a few bugs.

Edit:scratch that. Your profile says TRD sport.

I think mine has some cam bolt and timing issues??? The brake malfunction I think is a failure in the pre-collision system. They won't even look at brake failure yet until other issues are resolved.
Day 19 of ownership been broke down for 12

I do not think the two issues are related. I think there are separate problems. Toyota engineers advised the Master Tech not to go any further with other diagnostics until The cam issues are fixed.

I had the same brake override malfunction on my 2016 at 150 miles. Almost caused an accident as I pulled onto a busy street. Its been at dealership for two weeks and truck is still not fixed. They gave me my new upgraded truck yesterday. I went from a access cab to a double cab long bed no extra charge.

I would like to get my truck replaced. You know I've kind of lost that new car feeling and will never have it again with the same truck as it left me stranded with 500 miles on it. Are there any suggestions on how I should approach a replacement. The sales managers Have told me "we gave you a good deal on the truck and that's all we can do for you except get your truck fixed for you."

I'd be demanding one. They can keep the "fixed" truck, get me a new one! Hope it works
    out for you man.

I simply told them that I did not feel safe in the truck since it almost caused an accident with my daughter in the back seat and they offered me an upgrade. you might want to look up the lemon law for your state and see what it says. They will do a lot to avoid a lemon law case so even if your lemon law does not apply to your vehicle yet, just you mentioning the lemon law will be a strong encouragement for them to resolve your issue. As soon as I had mentioned the vehicle being a lemon law candidate things start going very quickly.

I also told them that I wanted my money back and that I was going to buy a used vehicle from someone else, I had $6,000 worth of trade ins when I bought mine so that was an extremely dangerous thought for them
