I want xm in my truck and figured this would be a way to get it. After some research I decided I like the kenwood/garmin units. Been a while since I've bought and installed a head unit so have some questions. Are these the things I'll need?

    1. Head unit (obviously)
    2. Metra dash kit
    3. Wiring adapter of some sort???
    4. Kenwood xm modulator and subscription
    5. Steering wheel control adapter (optional I know)

Will this be everything I need or am I missing something? Thanks

Ask visa or my wife. They both constantly remind me how much I've got left to spend.
It should be all. I really like my 5120, it's about the same as the 5140 but a few buck cheaper and the garmin is great. Only thing is that it's a little tight to get everything in the dash so wire up any speakers or other future mods while you have it out.

Thanks- good to know about planning ahead. I think I'll just do the steering wheel controls at that time rather than later. Also, do I need to buy a certain wiring harness for a Tacoma/Kenwood for a quick and simple hookup?
