I'd say it depends on what your goals are. Just wanting "a lift" isn't terribly descriptive. That one won't lift 3" if that's your goal. And you can lift the front for "$350" but not do it well. At that height your camber will be off enough that the alignment shop probably can't get it close to spec without more than doubling your budget to first include new upper control arms designed to offset the issue caused by raising it so much.

Now, at a 2.5" or certainly 2" lift, you could be OK. On the other hand if this is mainly an offroad vehicle the alignment matters a lot less.

I will tell you what I tell everyone in the same situation OP, I would NEVER recommend someone put a lift kit on a 35k truck for under $500

This is just a street truck no off road at all...looking to run 285/70R17 with no rubbing issues I'm assuming 3" will be what I'm looking for

Pretty much every thread I've read where a 3" lift is used, a new UCA was very appreciated. You'd have a lot of positive camber without it, which would not help street handling at all.

And I don't want to derail this thread either, but something does not add up here.

Springs and spacers.so yeah,I guess you could say its stacked.I don't ever recommend anybody do what I do.it works for me.but that's not what I was referring to.I was making it known that you can lift it 3" and still have a proper alignment done with stock control arms....you will have to find a good shop and not some fancy ass Volvo shop.

Could you run 3" with stock UCA's? Yea, sure. Do people do that? Yea.

Is it highly recommended that you get new UCA's as you approach 2.5" and up? Absolutely.

I'm left wondering why you don't recommend it, either.

So what would be the recommendation for a street only truck if I wanted to run something close to 33's on 17 inch wheels? I want to maintain a good comfortable ride and I don't mind a little rubbing at full lock but I'm not cutting or trimming anything thanks
