See my other thread from the Squeeze where I lost the passenger Mirror.

Great day was had by all, and the sway bar has since been removed and thrown away.

Pictures and video really don't do it justice...

My friend who was shaking his head at the end realized is was his turn. :)

Well done Larry:thumbsup::thumbsup: & yeah I saw the squeeze vid, kinda winced in between laughs, surprised a 2nd gen got thru with as little rash as you got...on another note I've heard that fish creek & Diablo drop off are accessible by mini coopers & prius's now, sucks..

Nice to see a relatively stock tacoma actually getting wheeled to its potential.

At least buy a decent engine skid plate for now though, before you turn what could have been a $200 mod into a $2,500 repair.

    right!
So any suggestions? Started getting my hands dirty, did the lift myself, all by myself, never did one before. watched a video, got some suggestions on here and went for it.

So yeah the skid plate is lame on here. So what do you recommend?

well I wouldn't go that far. Diablo dropoff, the top part was pretty lame, all super soft sand and mush. The 2nd or lower part of the dropoff was hard and more obstacles.

at that point it was a 1 vehicle width and these guys in Jeeps came blazing through and just drove up the side of the wall and passed us. Rear axle horizontal and the front vertical, hahaha pretty farging cool!

We actually took a family out in their stock GMC Sierra 4x4 and they did ok. I found out he didn't go into 4 low the whole time because "it is difficult getting into 4low, you have to go into nuetral or coast or something", he said. Had to tell him he needs to otherwise he could mess somethign up because of lack of control and articulation.

    anyway was a great day.
Here's another video of the dropoff. I led this trip, but my friend video'd it. In one section of the guy running like an oaf up to video the jeep going over the dropoff, that's me.

Bud built for skid plates. A few of the local fab guys on the forum are also cutting skid plates out. You could also pick up a piece of 3/16 or 1/4 steel and cut it out yourself, but honestly for the price of steel you're better of time and money wise just buying one already made (coming from a guy who loves to build everything himself).

I'd go with steel for your first skid plate (the engine / IFS skid) and consider going aluminum from there on back. Most of the time you hit a skid, you hit your first skid; although it is possible to drop onto later skids.

The first skid generally catches the things you don't see.

I had to go look at your build before asking what else I should do to my so it's not "relatively Stock". hahaha
    NICE TRUCK!
I'm actually going to continue building this truck more and more, when ever I can put money into it.
What do I need to do to get bigger wheels on it?

BTW awesome photo, the house is awesome, truck is too!
