Help with budbuilt skids for 05+

I looked at my tank and every spot that lines up with the holes on the skid have indentations that'll fit a short bolt so I could find shorter ones than what I've got they're just a little too long

 

But this project seems like it's going to be a pain in the ass

 

And did anybody seem to experience a lot of vibrations while driving. No matter how many times I tighten and check for lose shit everything's tight

 

Nope driving down the road when I hit the gas only it vibrates now didn't happen before they were on. And I haven't gotten to use them yet but I might take a trip in an hour to have some fun

 

ok but i don't see any pipes touching lol i think its the mid and the trans rattling on each other
ill take another look for a pipe touching

Hi folks,

I just bought this gas tank skid from 4xinnovations, nice skid, weighs slightly less than the Budbuilt at 41 pounds vs BB's 47. Basically during some vigorous off roading my plastic TRD version caught the end of my leaf shackle and tore so I have been meaning to replace it, hence the new skid.

But even with the TRD straps that are basically bolt on for either maker's skid, are these going to be enough to support the added weight? I do also know that there is hardware for bolting the extended portion to the crossmember in front of the fuel filter which will help but I am wondering if anyone has some thoughts on this, might run some extra metal strapping around it to be safe as long as the bolt holes line up.
