    Let me illustrate with an example;
    A manual 4-cyl that happens to be delivered with a LUK clutch in a cold climate. Regardless of what year it happens to be manufactured, it will probably need a new clutch after around 10,000 miles when things smooth out and the clutch no longer grips. Things like that that lead to downtime on a new vehicle, because it means that its going to take several dealer trips to convince them of the problem, and then its going to have to sit there for probably a week while they're futzing around with it. Once you get that problem out of the way, you can expect a much more normal/long life for the replacement clutch.

    I'm tracking on the point you're trying to make, I just think it's over-exaggerated and I disagree.

    How many Tacomas do you think burn out clutches within the first 10k? Furthermore, how many new vehicles do you think burn out a clutch within the first 10k? I mean, do you really think this is a common problem - are you serious?
