Any one have any idea how much current the Cargo lamp consumes? It has a 5 Amp fuse, and I am thinking about possibly adding LED bed lighting and wiring it to the cargo lamp switch. just wondering if I would need to upgrade to a 10A fuse, or if the factory wiring (from the battery to the fusebox to the switch ) could even handle that much current running through it. does anyone have any insight to this? anyone know the typical factory lighting wire sizes?

LED's draw so little power that you should be fine, even if you have to upgrade to a 7.5 or 10 amp fuse

5A @ 12V = 60W. If the cargo light isn't already LED, swapping it out for and LED bulb should give you more than enough head room to run LOTS of LEDs in the bed.

Just FYI. LED lights consume less power per lumen. Less power - less heat - more light.

Obviously if you add a ton of LEDs, the more power but way more light.
