I purchased a set of original TRD "Beadlock" wheels from a friend. These wheels came off a limited edition FJ cruiser and are not copies.

I ordered lug nuts and I'm not sure if they are the right ones. When I position the lug nut into the wheel, it feels like the "cone" portion of the lug nut doesn't meet the "cone" portion of the wheel.

Did i get the wrong lug nuts? These are the ones i bought.

    Pictures are attached.

    Thanks!

It'll work if the extended portion of the lug nut can fit in to the hole in the wheel. So the angled part on the lug nut seats correctly and fully.

I don't think it does. i feel like the the tip of the lug nut sits somewhere on the "cone" of the wheel, not all the way in/through it.

That kind of sucks. I was wondering if those ET lugs would work because I have the same wheels.

I use the regular non ET Gorilla spline lugs. It doesn't have to be OEM lugs.

Those are the wrong lugs. I ran into this same situation, and you're not gonna like it.

    http://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=-9570

I went back and forth to a Big O for like 3 days as they special ordered some crrazy Gorilla lug nut they said would fit...they didn't...ended up having to order these lugs through toyota. Super pricey and if you lose one, you're screwed.

I tried them on and marked the lug nut to see where it would contact the wheel. It's definitely not contacting the wheel at the "cone" portion... only the tip.

I've been using the non-et gorilla spline drive acorn lugs for mine. They've been working fine and most shops carry them.

No offense @deeezy but just because they fit and 'work' doesn't mean they are the correct lug nuts for that wheel. You probably don't have complete lug engagement on the wheel. Toyota has that special expensive ass lug nut kit for a reason. We all know how shiesty Toyota is.

If you buy a wheel "locks", then you are forced to use the OEM acorn trd wheel locks. You can use the regular lugs I mentioned for normal lugs. They are not "locks" though.

The last thing I want is for my wheels to be flying off when driving on the road. I'll be sending these back. I'm not willing to take the chance.

Here is what the paint look like when I screwed in the lug nut. You can see the paint didn't smudge at all along the "cone" or the side of the tip. The picture doesn't show it well, but the paint smudged along the tip of the lug nut only.

Too bad you don't have the right lugs. Your ride could look like this 0fb0a999c71afb5d96a9f228272f3fa1_0a632c7427ad1db1af10ae026bd0f5dcab9ac5aa.jpg
