It's to make the glass area look like one piece which to me makes it look sleeker or aero. Just an illusion with colors. $.02

 

I removed mine on the first day.

 

I think that looks good on that color. The white doesn't look as good with tape gone.

 

I personally like the vinyl wrap on the white model

 

I personally think it looks better without the blackout tape on any color. Did it on my 13 Ram 1500 and it will be one of the first things that I do to the Tacoma, along with debadging it. It looks good either way but all comes down to personal preference.

 

That long bed looks weird in mgm.

 

I'm not a fan of the long bed on any color, truck just isn't wide enough so to me it looks out of proportion. I do get the practically of it though.

Yeah I'm with you on the double cab. They just don't look right.

 

They look good in other colors. That mgm one looks like the bed was just attached on the fly

It looks a lot better. Debadge everything else and get yourself a SR grill.

 

I just cant bring myself to spend $350 on an SR grill. I'd rather spend the $79 and get a mesh insert (http://www.customcargrills.com/Toyota-Truck-Grills.asp) I am going to black out the badges though. It will look good on the blue.

 

I hear you. The grill is a huge focal point of the truck. Something has to be done.

 

My sport came with it. I am undecided about removing it. So many choices. Remove or don't remove decals. Remove or don't remove badging. LED lights or stock interior lights. Mud flaps or no mud flaps? Maybe smoking a joint will help me decide
