My driver's window has been a problem for a while but a couple of weeks ago all hell broke loose and it stopped raising and lowering properly altogether and started making a horrible crunching noise whenever I'd forget and lower it.

Today I took off the door panel, peeled back the plastic protective coating to find both screws that hold the window onto the track had come loose and fallen into the door. Recovered both screws and after nearly an hour of trying I cannot get than damn things to line up to get them back in.

Before I fix this with a heavy hammer, has anyone had to do this before and do you have any tricks or suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.
