I have had aftermarket hid bulbs in my 07 Tacoma for about 5 months now and have had plenty of experience with hids before and for some reason here lately my passenger side fog light has not been coming on so I took it all apart and cleaned everything (in case of a dirty connection not pulling power or something). It will turn on for about 10 mins when II disconnect everything and reconnect them then it turns off. Tried finding a ground for the stock harness coming down to the dogs and can't seem to follow the wire and find a ground.. Does anyone know where the ground might be for the foglights or have any suggestions? Thought maybe it may be the relay but that would cause both lights to not be working right????

To clarify, you have HID bulbs in your fogs? Or headlights, or both?

HIDs in a halogen reflector is a very bad practice. This is because the optics are incorrect for an HID bulb, which results in light escaping from the beam pattern. This is known as scatter, which blinds oncoming drivers. In the case of fogs, scatter also works against you because the fog light is supposed to keep the beam pattern low to see under the fog without reflecting light back at you. That works with a good beam pattern, no so much with scatter. There is a link in my sig for a better headlight upgrade, without scatter, that doesnt cost much.

Back to your problem, I'm betting your issue has to do with the cheap Chinese HIDs and not the OEM wiring. Try swapping your right and left ballast and I bet the problem moves to the other side, indicating you have a faulty ballast.
