Anyone heard of Lanber? Its some Spanish company. The local gunshop has a brand new 12 gauge O/U made by them for $500. Loved the way it handled and it felt well built. Even has some engraving on the reciever and attractive wood. Little hesistant just because I've never heard of them. Always wanted an O/U and that price is sweet and its not to pretty for me to feel bad about thoroughly using.

Hi Bobert14. I'm no expert, but I have been around the shooting sports and guns all my life. Having said that, I have never seen a well-made new O/U shotgun for sell for $500.00. I have a Russian-made Baikal, not even sure about the spelling, that was a gift. Both the fit and the finish are horrible. I don't think you can buy even a new Baikal for $500.00. If you want to shoot sporting clays or hunt with the gun, I have a suggestion. Drop about $1000.00 to $1500.00 and buy a nice used O/U. Maybe a Browning or Beretta or something. The thing about an O/U is, you will probably not wear it out. I have several other O/U shotguns, both new and used, and enjoy all of them. My "dedicated" quail gun is a Browning Superposed once owned by Davis Love III. The gun is older than I am and without one scratch. Point is, great used O/U shotguns are out there, and can be had for a reasonable amount of money. Hell, I love shooting my semi-automatic shotguns just as much as my O/U and S x S shotguns. As you probably know, the semi-auto shotguns cost much less than O/U and S x S.
Good luck with your next shotgun! What ever it is!
