how would the 4.0 performed mileage wise in the 3rd gen body

    So i have a 16, The mileage is pretty good if you baby it, i've averaged 22.5 on a tank... BUT if you put good mileage out of your head and drive it in more of a fun way you're back down to 17-18mpg. Now the 3rd gen body has supposed mileage saving additions to it, how do you think the 2nd gen engine mileage would have done? same?
    I do love my 16 but I do prefer where the power was with the 2nd gen..

    ECT button bro.

    Usually, newer cars are defaulted to "ECO" mode and your throttle mapping and shift points are lower than the optimum output.

    Try driving the truck with the ECT PWR engaged if you want more power.

    I hated the 4.0's I drove. Not sure where all this love for them comes from. Unless people are just used to them from the last 10 years
