Just got my 2006 double cab 4wd tacoma! I have not done much except except for aux cord and mud tires. What are some good starting off mods for tacomas?

Check out the cheap/free mods list, and fog lights if you don't have them. More lights if you already do.

Pop in Lock or rear gate anti theft device, more D - rings in bed, self dimming mirror, trim mud flaps, better speakers.

The list is endless. How do you intend to use your truck? Do you take it off road? If so what soft of terrain?

Rather than 'more lights' as mentioned above, I'd suggest upgraded lights. See the link in my sig.

If your spending lots of time off road and it is your daily driver, I would suggest a small lift. Something around 2" in the front and 1.5"-2" in the rear and going 1" larger in tire size. This will give you additional ground clearance off road but also low enough to avoid the issues people run into when lifting their trucks. Only going 1" larger in tire size will keep there weight down and power and mpgs up. Lots of options available depending on budget. The most common and budget friendly are height adjustable Bilstein 5100s and OME (Old Manu Emu, and ARB brand). Of course all this depends on budget.

You on stock rims? If so put new wheels on the truck. Got a sweet set of 17" trail edition take-offs from a 2015 4-Runner. Put on BFGs T/A KO2 tires. Made my 2007 look great. If your're looking for nice wheels check out Josh on eBay. He really hooked me up and sold me the set for a GREAT price. Super nice guy too.

Agree. Hood struts and underhood lights are two of the things I use least but when I need to have them I am glad they are there.

Led interior lights will make your life better no matter how you use your truck and for less than $20. Search the "Buy Sell" section. A good set of floor mats like Weathertechs are also a nice addition no matter what.
