Just found a brand new pro comp 3" lift for $255 installed. This is a great deal but will the pro comp lift mess up my suspension. Was going to go for a toytec until this deal came up.

Got a link to the exact lift? I used to run a Pro Comp 3" lift when I first got my truck. I'd say unless you're strictly a pavement pounder, you're gonna be a lot happier with something else.

I've read on here that the springs are super stiff giving a bad ride.

Yep, that's the same lift I had (except I had the AAL version, not the blocks). Like I said before, if you off road at all you're going to be happier with other lifts. The Pro Comp lift is extremely stiff. On highways it rides awesome, truck feels great. But on washboards, trails, ect. it rides like a wagon. For $255 however you're not going to find a better lift. Also, at 50,000 miles when I switched over the ICON lift, the Pro Comp rear shock seals were toast and leaking fluid, the rear eye bushings were rounded out, and the front coils were flaking and extremely rusty. If I could go back and do it again, I would of just started with the ICON. I know dropping $1500 on lift isn't for everyone, but if you can squeeze another couple hundred into your budget I know you'd be much better off with another lift kit.

Avoid this kit, I have no idea why ProComp continues to market this for Tacoma.
The coils have a spring rate that's way too high (718 lbs) for the weight of this truck.

The problem with these big comps is they try to use the whole "one size fits all" thing to prevent from having to manufacture a bunch of different coils. Its the same thing with their AALs, avoid them.
