Kinda bummed that the new 2016 Tacos didn't come with rear LEDs. So yesterday I upgraded the stock 7443's for the turn and brake to 7443 LED's from DDM. Only took about 20 min for the simple mod. Looks great day and night! Next is switchbacks for the front turn signals. Also filled up the gas tank for the first time since we bought our Tacoma!

I can't see the picture, but did you just simply replace the bulb? Also, I thought that Canada has LED's as a stock taillight? I was thinking that in the foreseeable future that they might be available online or through a vendor. :fingerscrossed:

Pic should work now. Sorry only my 2nd post or 3rd post on here. LOL Not sure if Canada got a different version of taillights, but my TRD Off Road had regular incandescent bulbs. So I replaced it with LED's and a load resistor to eliminate the hyper blink.

You can't even see the bulb. What difference does having an LED make?

Its just a crock that they had them and took them away. Cost cutting but charging more...

I installed switchback LED blinkers on my 2015. I just hate how you have to chop and screw to install the resistors. Definitely won't be doing that again to my 2016. Why do you need switchbacks on a 2016? The blinkers aren't apart of the DRLs.

Yes you can't see the bulb in the rear but definitely grabs your attention when you tap the brake. DRL are constant and do not blink. Sad I know. Inner part of the headlight housing holds the amber incandescent bulb.

Do the stop/tail/turn signals work with the 7443 CK compatable bulbs only?
