I looked up the manual on line and saw that it calls for 0W-20. I figured out that i was looking at the manual for a 2013. On the oil cap it says 5W 30. I had no choice so I just went with it. Is this something I should change out right away? I am in northern Minnesota so we are close to having temps around zero.

Will be fine. Oil weight was changed to help fuel economy but the 2TR itself hasn't changed. I'd use the recommended next go around but only cause I'm a stickler for stuff like that. I run 0-20 M1 myself in my '14 since it calls for it.

you are fine, and honestly continue to use 0w-20 as it will offer better startup and before up to operating temperature protection.

FYI 0w-xx oil is still too thick at 75* ambient temperatures to properly lube a motor, but it will get to proper thickness quicker than 5w-xx

So long as the final number (the 20) is the same, both oils will be identical at operating temperatures.

Also note this is why i run 0w-30 in my V6 now even though i live in sunny so cal.
